Margaret McBride is a Canberra-based education consultant and curriculum expert specialising in grammar for classroom teachers. After studying linguistics at the Australian National University, she devoted her early career to teaching English to adult speakers of other languages and training TESOL teachers, including lecturing in Approaches to Grammar at masters level. Since 2015 her focus has been on supporting mainstream primary teachers with grammar, working with hundreds of educators through online and face to face professional learning, and completing a PhD investigating primary teachers' practices with grammar in 2024. She is committed to empowering teachers with the knowledge and clarity they need to make grammar a meaningful and powerful part of student learning.
