Dr Phil Cummins is an internationally recognised educator, researcher and thought leader with over three decades of experience. As Managing Partner of a School for tomorrow. and founder of CIRCLE Education, he leads the world's largest research program into character education. He is the Hooke Family Professor of Practice in Educational Leadership and the Director of the Sydney Character Initiative at the University of Sydney – Australia's tertiary home for character education. The host of the Game Changers podcast, Phil also lectures in leadership and character internationally, including at Boston University and Oxford University's Smith School.
His work focuses on helping people connect their purpose to practice, advocating for an intentional education that forms character, competency, and wellness. Including his works for Amba Press, he has authored over 40 books and numerous articles in education, leadership and history. Phil is also an Honorary Senior Fellow of the University of Melbourne and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (at both national and state levels), the Teachers' Guild of New South Wales, and the Institute of Managers and Leaders.
