Dr Susan Nikakis currently serves as a Senior Gifted Education Officer at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), where she develops and implements pedagogical improvements for gifted education. With more than 30 years' experience in education, she has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Principal, across six secondary schools, while serving as Director of the Australian Association for the Education of Gifted and Talented Students and current Vice-President of the Victorian Association for Gifted and Talented Children. As an accomplished author and editor, Dr Nikakis has authored numerous books and articles on gifted education, regularly delivering keynote addresses at national and international conferences to advance educational practices for gifted learners.
Rhiannon Lowrey is a passionate educator, advocate, and leader in the field of gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) education, currently serving as a Board Member of the Australian Association for the Education of the Gifted and Talented (AAEGT) and National Gifted Awareness Week Director. With over 15 years of experience across primary, secondary, and tertiary education, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight as a twice-exceptional individual to her role as High Potential and Gifted Leader. This is Rhiannon's first book, through which she advocates for systemic change and better support for high-potential and twice-exceptional students, driven by her belief that every learner deserves an environment where their strengths are celebrated and their challenges are supported.
