As the sun set on a perfect Melbourne evening on Thursday 16th March 2024, Readings St Kilda buzzed with anticipation for the launch of Bully Blocking: Empowering students to manage bullying by Evelyn M Field. We were thrilled with the response with over 60 attendees, including educators, parents, counsellors, dignitaries, media, family and friends.

Author, Evelyn M. Field OAM is a psychologist, professional speaker, and regular media commentator. She has spent more than four decades helping students and adults develop social survival skills and managing bullying in schools and the workplace.
Completely revised and updated, this edition of Field's best-selling resource explains what bullying is, the injuries and trauma it inflicts, the underlying reasons behind it and the need for more effective interventions.
After a few welcomes, Evelyn and Amba Press educational publisher, Alicia Cohen, sat down for a discussion about bullying. Attendees listened intently as Evelyn shared excerpts from Bully Blocking, while answering a number of questions from Alicia and the floor.
As the evening wrapped up, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and a way to navigate the challenging terrain of bullying. Despite the seemingly daunting nature of school bullying, Bully Blocking offers hope and a path forward.
Congratulations Evelyn Field on a wonderful book and launch.
Bully Blocking is available here but also from online book suppliers in print and ebook.
